Strawberries!
What were once little flowers...
are now berries! We picked about a quart tonight and there should be plenty more on the way once we get back to warmer weather. Sometimes I have to plan for what I'll do with a bunch of berries after we pick, but not with these. I predict they'll be gone before the night is over.
All Eat Local Challengers commit to changing their diets for a period of one month.
How much does that mean? Try committing to one of these options. If this is too challenging, or if you think you can go 100%, feel free to set your own goals!
1. Leading Locavores: Base 80% of your diet – or 4 out of every 5 meals, ingredients, items – on locally sourced food.
2. Local Learners Level: Commit to eating 4-5 meals per week that are 80% local.
Remember, the point of the challenge is to create awareness about local foods, not to be impossible! Do what works for you and have fun with it!
